One of my full time jobs at Main Street Station is making sure that we have the beer and liqour for our patrons and visitors. Its a fun job and I enjoy ordering all the latest and best, but also sticking to the tradional medlies. In keeping with my efforts to keep you informed on all the happenings in and around Main Street, Daytona Beach, I must tell you about the Tea Party that came to our backyard.
There were no mad hatters at this tea party and I didn’t see anyone chasing white rabbits either, but I did get to meet Ron and Kay Rivoli. Ron and Kay performed in Holly Hill, FL on Wednesday, Nov 11th as part of the national Tea Party Express tour. http://www.teapartyexpress.org/

We could not pass up the opportunity to share with you a few weeks in advance the well attended Daytona Turkey Rod Run. Mark your calendars and clear your schedules. The Turkey Run event is an annual event for car enthusiasts near and far. It occurs during the Thanksgiving holiday at the International Speedway. This year marks the 36th year!
Our event is one of the largest participant-based auto shows in the United States.
We combine a world-class swap meet and a 5000+ custom car show, all in one venue.
Daytona Beach is so lucky to have this event. We hope everyone can make it this year.
Since Main Street is the home of Bill France, we hope you stop over to share in the history and enjoy a cold beverage. We want to bring back our heritage so that we are reminded of the efforts of our forefathers to create the things and places we now enjoy. The crowd tonight at our weekly Wednesday Bike night was no surprise on this gorgeous evening. Our weekly “event” has become a sure fired way to celebrate mid-week. We did have some happy ladies tossing fresh red roses to our acclaimed musician Joe Santana. As far as I’m concerned, I’m just glad it was roses and not ripe tomatoes. Joe Santana will be booked again at Main Street that much I know is true. Watching people dance is my favorite pass time here at my Station and Joe was jazzing up the ladies tonight! We met some great folks from all over the country. I try to meet people when I can get them over to chat with me. This weekend we will have the Chris Hiatt experience playing Friday November 6th. Saturday, November 7th, will be a night to listen to a new band called Spitfire Band. We are excited to have them play and share their vibrational tunes with us.
Today I purchased a new chilled shot machine which I opened immediately. I wanted to offer more choices and still honor our low prices. So, we are now offering our patrons $2 peppermint schnapps shots. I am serving them in a Jagermeister tube…hehe. So come out and enjoy the refreshing taste of peppermint.
