Despite what may be going through your mind when you think of rain, cold and the Main Street Station is probably incorrect, at best.

This morning I arose to a somber day full of rain clouds, sprinkles, intermittent showers and a cold draft in the air. Remembering my awesome band booking for tonight, Alchemy, I was suddenly saddening by the fact that people may not come out to enjoy the Main Street Station tonight.

I called a good friend this morning over a nice cup of java joe. I mentioned it was raining and it may not be good for business because people usually won’t ride their motorcycle when it is raining. He mentioned that today was a good day to sit at the bar.

After hanging up the phone, I got to thinking. By golly, he was right! We have the most amazing Alaska heaters in both of our bars. It would have to get down below 60 before you would feel the sting of a cold wind. Upon a cold spell, we usually close the garage doors halfway and crank up the heat! This nice blend of fresh air and heat is a wonderful experience for mingling with friends and enjoying a nice cold beverage. I am hoping in the near future to offer more warm beverages. However, we just haven’t committed to creating this experience yet. I was hoping for a nice cherry brandy hot chocolate or a Irish coffee.

So, maybe you need to drive the car or truck out tonight and park in large back parking lot (for free)…but please don’t miss an incredible night of music with Alchemy. http://www.myspace.com/alchemaholic
