Hey there fellow night crawlers (opps, is Halloween over?)

Ms. Tank here reporting to you November 4th

The crowd tonight at our weekly Wednesday Bike night was no surprise on this gorgeous evening. Our weekly “event” has become a sure fired way to celebrate mid-week. We did have some happy ladies tossing fresh red roses to our acclaimed musician Joe Santana. As far as I’m concerned, I’m just glad it was roses and not ripe tomatoes. Joe Santana will be booked again at Main Street that much I know is true. Watching people dance is my favorite pass time here at my Station and Joe was jazzing up the ladies tonight! If you missed the show, take a look at Joe’s music video below and then watch our event calendar for his next playdate.

We met some great folks from all over the country. I try to meet people when I can get them over to chat with me. Make sure you tell your friends about our website and of course our t-shirts sales will be online soon after I find some models to pose in our new “fashionista approved” garbs. So, if you are interested in smiling for the Main Street Station send me a note.

This weekend we will have the Chris Hiatt experience playing Friday November 6th. Saturday, November 7th, will be a night to listen to a new band called Spitfire Band. We are excited to have them play and share their vibrational tunes with us.

Today I purchased a new chilled shot machine which I opened immediately. I wanted to offer more choices and still honor our low prices. So, we are now offering our patrons $2 peppermint schnapps shots. I am serving them in a Jagermeister tube…hehe. So come out and enjoy the refreshing taste of peppermint. If it is too strong, try 2oz of peppermint schnapps and fill with Sprite. A refreshing way to jump start your engine after a long day. Also really yummy mixed with chocolate syrup. Come experience the flavor!

Hope we see you next Wednesday!

Hey Friends,

It’s the one-and-only Ms. Tank here to tell you about the Halloween costume party we had here Saturday night.

It seems Halloween 2009 saw a bit of hell-raisin’ here at the Station.

Push rocked the night and kept the dance floor jumping.

Our friends showed up in great costumes…

And we were visited by a pair of ghouls (some say they came from the cemetary across the street) that took home the $100 prize for best costume.

Hey Friends,

It’s me, Ms. Tank…again bringing you all the latest from Main Street, Daytona Beach.

I was delighted to see so many of you come out to celebrate Biketoberfest 2009 with us at Main Street Station.

We all had a great time. The Crackers Lunatic Rock Band played on our front stage with their own folksy-comedy style music. They don’t just play to you, they engage the audiance into participation. It was great fun. You can read more about the Crackers at http://www.crackersweb.com/

Microwave Dave and the Nukes played the center stage. Their high-intensity rhythms drew people to the dance floor like a magnet. Their original tune called Roadrunner (Beep-Beep) had people dancing on the bars as seen in this photo:

Our HOT vendor this year was Cheeky-Chaps – “Cool Chaps for Hot Cheeks”. Their unique line of chaps were a big hit with everyone who saw them but enough with the words, look for yourself….

Hello Friends,

It’s Monday morning and Biketoberfest 2009 is behind us but what a weekend it was down here on Main Street, Daytona Beach.

Let’s start by recapping old news. In my last post, I commented on the problem our neighbors had with their inflatable Coors bottle. By Friday morning the bottle stood tall and proud as seen in this new photo:

Coors_Inflatable_02

…but not long afterward it was back to this….

They have our sympathies – it’s a bitch when you can’t keep it up!

We have a huge lineup of entertainment events for you. So come on down to the Station and celebrate with us.

Biketoberfest_2009_01

I took this photo Wednesday evening. Hundreds showed up to hear live music from The Crackers and Microwave Dave (for full details see our events page at http://www.316mainststation.com/316_Main_Street_Station_Biketoberfest_2009.php )

Our neighbors had a problem with their inflatable Coors bottle. It looked like the fan that kept it full of air couldn’t blow hard enough to keep the advertisement erect. We all speculated about a hidden message but in the end we wish our neighbors luck in fixing their problem.

Our new line of Main Street Label T-Shirts are in and they are HOT! Come get yours today but hurry because quantities are limited.

I’ll be post many more photos of Biketoberfest so be sure to check out my Flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/316_main_st_station/ where you can see them. I’ll even pose in a few of them for you.

Wednesday nights have become so popular with the Main Street visitors that we added a NEW bartender. Hatti assisted Melissa in the front bar. Together they were able to reach more customers in a timely manner. We are excited to have them working together. With our continued $1 beer special, we need to remember to tip them! They work hard for all of to relax and enjoy a nice evening out. Bartenders are so undervalued from my perspective. So, let’s give one up to the ladies behind the bar that makes us smile, laugh, listen when we are sad, and give us reason to come to the bar when we want to retreat from the world!

Make sure you check out the latest edition of the local publication the Backstage Pass. I, Ms. Tank, am the author of the short but sweet article about our favorite place on Main Street. I am hoping you like the pictures we took of our 4 bartenders and AWESOME! Manager. Hatti, Shelba, Melissa, Terri and Tim were so cute in front of the pumps that identify this landmark. We needed a way to share with more local folks just exactly what we do at the Main Street Station to make our customers so happy and I think our “Economic Bailout Program” is just the news they want to hear. So get out of your house, don’t drink alone and come experience the magic of the Main Street Station. We look forward to having you visit again and again!

Recently, we hired Eugene Fraber Painting to paint and refinish the front and side of the old station. He has almost completed the work and done a fabulous job. We wanted to reflect the historic look of the garage style station I have seen throughout the early 40s and 50s. I was disappointed when I saw that someone has already defaced the outside of the new paint work on the front of the building. Writing on the outside of the building is not permitted and your work will be painted over. Please only write on the inside of the building. Overall, Eugene was professional and timely in his work. He is in high demand so we were lucky to have him come out and help us renovate the place. I try as much as I can to give work to the local patrons of the bar. So please put your business cards in the bucket or give them to your bartenders. We are happy to help you when we can! You must come out to see what we are working on; our projects are countless. We hope we can always keep you coming by to see us grow!
